EEC-IV with 331

ok i finaly got it ready to go in and was wondering if i need to chip the car or get a megasquirt. its a 331 with 289 hipo heads, x303cam, gt-40 intake 30lb injectors with a 255lph pump. will the car run fine with the stock computer? its been a long project and just want to fire it up!!! i heard the computers have a hard time keeping up when you change things so any help would be appreciated.

i would get the quarter horse alot cheaper and easy to install

You can run a stock computer with that set up and you will even feel the power in it.......as long as your maf matches your injector size, you will be good to go.

thanks, its all matched up with 30lb c&l tube, but will have to watch my air fuel ratio

You can use the stock computer. You will probably get the surging idle and that's a pretty big cam on the stock computer but it will run and drive. Just be careful for stalling. May not be the best match but it will work. Now for more power a chip would help get everything out of your combo and would also take care of the idle issues and just make it run smoother. But you should be good to go just to get things started.
