Battery

I moved my battery to the trunk and have it wired according to what was in the kit that i got from summit. With it being cold in amarillo during this time of the year, its hard to start in the am and after work, i park in a parking garage. Today it took alittle to start after work, and went to my folks for an hr, and the car wouldnt start. i got the click from the starter. hooked up my dads truck to it and it started right away.

my question is, with it being in the trunk, could it not be charging well cause its not getting heat from any source, like if it was in the engine bay, or has the battery just gone to crap?

if the battery has just gone to crap, like i think, what is the best battery to replace it with? it has a vatozone battery in it. thanks everyone!

Re: Battery

do you have a bigger then stock alt on it ??

I would check the voltage going to the battery. With it running and everything on you should get at least 13.5-14.5 V at idle.

I have the vatozone battery and it has worked great for me..Mine is the "Gold series" tho.

Re: Battery

If it is dead, I would recommend an Optima red top. Mine has worked without issue, and that includes starting in neg. temps.
