Where do i put my ballasts?

My headlights came!!! I can't get a pic of the before against a garage door because now that my car is lowered i can't make it up my driveway.

I ordered HID hi/low headlights and foglights. I am wondering where everyone who HIDs has there ballasts mounted, and if possible, pics of the spots. I have an 02 2v. the passenger side one will be easy because i don't have the air filter in the engine bay any more but the driver's side one is going to be a pita because that is right where the battery sits. damn. now i wish i had done the battery relocation thing, cause then i'd be good.

Out of your hands? Is it leaving?

How big are your ballasts? Mine were probalby bout 3"x4" by about 1" thick. But there in our expedition, so space wasnt a problem.

they are about an inch thick. The car is getting shipped to germany to wait for me to pick it up when i report there in march.

You tuck it behind the battery on the driver side. I have also seen them mounted on radiator supports in front of the radiator. Check this link out out. Seems like a good guide.

yeah, i read the american muscle one, but my ballasts are thicker than that. i'm going to pull off the radiator cover and mount them in from of the radiator... should be done by tomorrow night!

woot! got it done, but fuck me. the car now thinks the high beams are on all the time, and so it won't let the fog lights turn on. if i hit the high beams on the stalk nothing changes. if i push in the lights to just turn on the running lights, the fog lights come on like normal. Any ideas?

Check the wiring. Something is connected incorrectly or pinned wrong. Did it come with a pigtail type adapter to connect to the stock harness? I had one with my projector headlights and it was pinned incorrectly causing similar problems.
