Re: tweecer or not to tweecer

I have the tweecer r/t on my 393w with a kennebell blowzilla, and I will say this if you have a lot of time on your hands it is a great tool. If I had it all to do over again I would just go with a chip they are cheaper and easier to work with. I spent 1400 on the dyno getting mine right. The tune was very close when I started but I made some mistakes changing the wrong table and it cost me alot. Again I suggest getting an sct switch chip and having a tune put on the car that way besides you can still run the factory computer with the chip. Just my opinion the tweecer is a pain in the ass.

Re: tweecer or not to tweecer

I have looked into ALL systems.. tweecer is about the hardist to work with and there is not much help from tweecer. there are forums but it takes a LOT of time!!

quarterhourse is cheap,(250-300) easier to work with and has more help available but you still have to learn how/what your doing. its a chip you tune with software and can re-burn the chip.

AEM has some NICE features but at $1800 its NOT cheap !!!

PMS is suppose to be the easiest to work with but its about $as much as AEM when you buy new and get all the add ons and software

with ANY system you will HAVE to use a wideband !! that another $250.

or spend about $400-600 and have a "expert" tune it with their wideband. you never have to learn anything, you dont have the "down time" and you dont run the risk of really messin something up.

Smile Re: tweecer or not to tweecer

Damn that sct software would be nice, but I dont have the 10 grand to buy it. That is what the guy who burnt my chip said he paid when we bought there software and rights to use it. BUt hey if you can get it than that is the way to go. Good luck I hope all goes well for ya.

Red89coupe you are 100% correct with the money spent and the amount of time waisted trying other stuff. But the good widebands are more expensive than 250 I paid 425 for mine but its pretty.

Re: tweecer or not to tweecer

you can buy the SCT software/chip combo for WAY less !!! $1000 or less. the pro racer package gets ya the chip, a chip burner, the software, and access to the SCT forums. by far the best option IMHO.

http://www.lasotaracing.com/MOPRP.html

yeah really good widebands are more expensive but well worth it for sure.
