fuel gauge problem

i have a 90 5.0 right now and the fuel gauge always reads full,anyone have any ideas on what could be wrong?this is the first fox i have ever had that has had a problem with the fuel gauge so i am lost.could it be the anti slosh module?i have been under the car and see no problems.help me please!!!running out of fuel sucks!!!!!!!!

Sounds to me like its the fuel sender.......the damn things just go bad too. You will have to drop the tank to replace it, but that would be the first thing i would do.

Yeah that is what I would bet on too.

I replaced mine when I put the new tank in my Fox... I think that the sending unit was about $85.

Yeah it sucks to have to drop the tank! I put mine back in by myself, and that sucked worse!!!!!!!!!

yours may have a bad float on the sender,usually i have seen that when they read empty all the time the float has filled up with fuel.make ya a deal,buy me a sending unit and i will give you my old float....lol

well,i found the problem!!! take a look at the attached pic,something is missing.lol.. i picked up a sending unit from the junk yard and all is good.i am guessing the rest is still in the tank somewhere?
