Electric or mechanical gauges

Which one is better for a boost gauge?

Mechanical boost gauges work fine. The only time I would use an electric, would be if it was too difficult to route the line to the gauge--wires are easier to extend, route, etc.

I had all mechanical gauges till the fp gauge on my 97.
That is the only gauge that has ever broken on me.
I use mechanical wherever possible. But I'm sure others have had better luck.
