Started writing down my parts list

So I was talking today to a guy at work, and we were talking about all the different things I have changed since I bought my car. I didn't really think about it until he suggested writing it down. I was amazed at all the stuff I have done since I bought it. To give some back ground, this car was purchased as a rolling chassis, no engine, no tranny complete interior minus a few little things. Here is my list so far

Gt40 intake
24# injectors
24# maf
Mac Cold Air
Under drive pulleys
3 core Hd radiator
Camber/Caster Plates
v8 springs all the way arround
v8 Front struts/rear shocks
SN95 Cross drilled/slotted rotors
SN95 Spindles
SN95 Calipers
Earls steel braided brake lines
Urethane front control arm bushings (being installed this weekend)
Maximum Motorsports Aluminum rack bushings (being installed this weekend)
rear sway bar (being installed this weekend)
Tubular rear lower control arms with Urethane bushings
8.8
5 lug conversion
97 Cobra wheels
SN95 rear disk conversion (i have all the parts but not installed)
Fidanzza Short Throw
New Flywheel
King Cobra Clutch
Steeda adj clutch cable
UPR firewall adjuster
UPR Quadrant
New Carpet
99 stang leather power seats
Heater core x2
Convertible Motor Mounts
Mac Cat Back
Mac Hpipe

This list of coarse doesnt include the engine I put in it... These are all upgrades I have done since I have had the car on the road. I am sure this list is small compared to alot of you, but most of this has been done in the last 6 to 9 months. September will mark 2 years on the road with my Stang...

I am hoping to make it an all around car. I want to be able to run a 12 second pass, and then drive it to Detroit if I feel the need (i'm doing that next month but the car doesn't run 12's). I really like driving the car especially out in the mountains, and I want to be able to aggressively take on a mountain pass if I feel like it. I had the 4cyl sway bar in the front the last time i went for a drive in the mountains, and no sway bar in the rear. My car did ok, but could have done a lot better. The car was kind of unpredictable thru the corners requiring a lot of corrections taking the fun out of the drive. I just added a v8 front sway bar that Duece gave me and am throwing a rear one in it this weekend that was given to me by my friend Daniel (I have good friends!) along with those bushings, and I am replacing the lower intake manifold. I'm hoping the steering response will improve and require less correction. I am also hoping for more feedback from the steering with these upgrades. I talked to the guys at Maximum Motorsports a few weeks ago, and they recommended replacing the rack bushings with their back set (not offset) bushings. These bushings move the rack towards the rear of the car about 5mm improving the suspension geometry, and bump steer characteristics as well as eliminating the flex. According to them since I am using urethane bushings in the control arms, the road noise will be isolated there and I should only experience a minimal increase in road noise from the rack bushings. I didnt notice an increase in road noise with the urethane rear arms, so I am hoping they are correct

That is an amazing list........someone should start a post on what we have added to our car's part by part, if we can remember all the parts.........

I too was building my car for all around, i wanted to 1/4 mile and scca race it........but there are huge differences between the two racing type's that i didn't know about....

well, got the rear sway bar in, the urethane control arm bushings in the front, as well as the aluminum rack bushings. I am probably gonna drive to Denver to pick up my tires on Tuesday morning. Got a sweet deal on some pirelli tires for the rear with about 90% tread left. Getting an alignment on the car tuesday morning before denver. It should be the last alignment I have to do for a while. The steering feels very tight now with no wandering. I used the "super grease" that comes with the kit. No squeaking so far. I'm really impressed how it feels. A 1/8 inch movement in the steering wheel will change the direction in the vehicle now... It wasn't even close to that before.
