So what's up with new knee? Is it still hurting real bad, or has the pain started to ease up on you now? How long does the Doc think you will have to be off of it before you can start popping a clutch again???

thanks for the concern dudes. I'm still in pain. seems like the pain is always the worst when I wake up since I may sleep with it a little tweaked and that makes for a painful awakening. I actually made it out yesterday for a little fishing though. my little brother went out with me and carried all of my shit and we caught a few along with a buzz.
here's one of my browns I got

my brother got a bigger cutbow that was about 19 inches.

other than that, I have been tying flies and building a model for my dad to use for his next project. I don't know it I told you all but my dad is building mock up SA-6 misslie launchers and scud missle launchers for the military.
here's a couple of pics of his SA-6

he won a contract for building these for the air force to use as targets to hit with the lazer. he's going to build 350 of these and a couple of hundred of the scud missile launchers. that's the contract of a lifetime for him. I am proud!! he painted that thing himself too!! in fact, he designed and built it from the ground up including the delivery trailer.

other than that, I have been sitting here on the couch in pain. it's been 8 days since the surgery and the pain isn't going away but it is getting better. I can't wait till I can walk again!!! crutches suck donkey balls and I have 5 more weeks on them. the doc expects a full recovery though so I am being optimistic about the whole thing. after talking to him friday, I have a much better understanding of what was wrong and what he did to fix it. I have the pics now so it's all right there.

It sounds like you are doing a little better and that is good. Nice fish for sure! Little fishing and a little buzz will go a long way to help forget the pain.
Congrats to your Dad on the contract. Man those things look killer for sure.
