Unhappy shifting problem

I have a 2014 mustang gt and I instald a boss 302 intake manifold.When I go to the track and race it won't let me shift to third or forth.What can it be.

I don't see that being from the intake install. That would just be the poor factory shift design. Try a short throw shifter.

It is a very common tranny problem. A lot of people have installed the Barton 2 post shifter bracket as well as installing a WOT box to help the shift issues at the track

Re: shifting problem

This another excellent fix, many guys local are running this and it has fixed the issues for the most part.

There is too much torque applied and the tranny twists in the mounts causing the shifter to become misaligned and binding.....and you get a driveshaft loop with it......
