Damn, that is a good looking car. Will be wicked when you get er back on the road again. She's gonna love the 347........great choice.

Re: Proud New Owner of a 83 T-Top Mustang GT

Alright guy's some plans changed and for the better actually. Instead of trying to get my Bronco up and running with winter approaching I bought a 92 Ford F-150 4x4 extended cab. I'm going to sell my bronco to have some mustang money. I also changed my mind on the engine build instead of the 347 stroker I'm going to buy the 306 rod's and pistons from my buddy and still take my bare roller block to the machine shop to get bored .030 over. Also was wondering what some of you would recommend for h/c/I can I go ahead and still use the Summit dual plane intake I just bought or do I need a single plane? Thanks for any help and suggestions.

Re: Proud New Owner of a 83 T-Top Mustang GT

My buddy just picked the block up from the machine shop it got bored .030" over and piston matched and the crank got freshly turned and he has all brand new bottom end bearings so my bottom end is good to go I just need heads, cam, and intake.

Re: Proud New Owner of a 83 T-Top Mustang GT

Found out the pistons for my 306 are KB popup pistons pressed on stock connecting rods and I'm going to be getting a set of aluminum RHS 64cc heads with a 200cc intake runner and a 2.02 valve. I'm getting them from summit and I'm getting the ones for $730 that have a little better valve train parts. I'm also getting an edelbrock air gap intake manifold and a holley 650 double pumper carb and I'm going to call comp cams for a custom grind cam.
