c-4 to 5 speed tremenic

what would it take to change the C4 in my sons 72 to a 5 speed and where could I locate the needed parts???

Re: c-4 to 5 speed tremenic

you will need:
- a flywheel (with proper balance) and throwout bearing,
- a clutch kit,
-clutch cable,
- pedal assembly,
- a tranny (i figured you knew that)
- a bell housing that will bolt to the tranny and block.
- tranny crossmember (for your vehicle age)
- a proper length driveshaft
- a shifter

thats most of the big ticket items, there may be a few little things here and there. Hope this helps you out some.

Not sure where the best place to start for parts would be....maybe a scrap yard?

I think i am looking for a 5 speed out of a 87 Mustang as I have a 351 W in this car my delema is finding the pedals and mounts as I really dont know exactly what I am looking for and a 4 speed in a 72 is a rare bird
