Today's Refinery Fire
Here are a few pictures of the fire at the refinery i work at. Luckily we had no injuries or fatalities. We were in the middle of shift change when our crude unit lit off. You wanna talk about a little bit of a pucker factor..

Was a good rush. While starting up fire monitors, the fire was so hot you could feel it on your skin. Then one after the other, you could hear explosions from inside the fire.......all i could do was stop what i was doing and look up for falling debris. Thankfully nothing came my way, nor any of the other plant operators on shift.

Its good to here everyone is ok, do you guys have automatic fire prevention/fighting systems at a refinery like that?
