Car Craft a Success!

Had a blast at Car Craft Summer Nationals last weekend running the Real Street Eliminator.

Finished 4th in the Dyno (510rwhp in 95* heat and 99% humidity, took 531 to get into the points)
Finished 4th in the Launch box (4.8 seconds, 4.7 was in the points... DAMN!)
Should be around 4th or 5th in the Auto-cross with a 40.3.

2 Vettes appeared (again this year) in the competition that were fully race-prepped, and another that was fully gutted (couldn't have weighed more than about 2200#). These 3 guys were running in the 37 second range. No chance of catching them in a full weight and fully street legal car.

Oh well.

Lost on the dyno to a Vette running a 150 shot (559hp) a black cobra (a buddy of mine) running a 21# Whipple (558hp - spinning the tires on the dyno so they couldn't get an accurate reading) and a Red built vette (not sure if he was running nitrous or not... didn't see his dyno run - 531hp)

When the car wasn't running events, it was donning the InsaneMustangs license plates for ROTM and ROTY, so if you see a surge in traffic from the MidWest, it's probably people checking out what this place is all about.

Sorry I didn't get any pictures, in that heat when I wasn't driving I was passed out in a chair resting up for the next event. Or eating fair food...

Have some vids the wifey took that I'll post links to shortly in the Pics/Vids section.

Catch y'all in Sturgis!

Rod

Comp Orange on a Cobra is one of the best colors by far. That is one of my top colors when it comes time to buy one. Only color I want more is Mystic.
