Family Reunion on the wifes side

Sorry i was gone for a couple of days. The wife's side of the family invited us to a family reunion up in south dakota this past weekend, so we packed up and went up there for a few days.

Here are some pic's the trip:

1st is where my father in law is buried.

2nd is mount rushmore during a heavy rainstorm and i mean heavy.

The last few are of a ride we took on an 1880 steam engine from hill city s.d., to keystone s.d. and back.

when i was growing up there used to be a steam engine come through every once in a while, i would love to see one again and take my boys to see it

I'm not sure if it's steam, but there is an old train that runs in Titusville, PA..you can take a couple hour ride/tour on it

Ive seen that train!! We were on a ride at Sturgis Last summer right before I left home for here. Looked very cool.

All the men on that Mountain are rolling in their grazes as they look down and see the socialist regime that their nation has become.

Looks like you had a pretty decent time Doug. Congrats on getting out of town for a few days. The train ride looks like fun.

I remember when they brought an old steam locomotive through Arkansas several years back and they were telling everyone where it would be and giving out a schedule more or less so people could be at different crossings all over the state to see it come by.
My mom and grandmother went to go and see it >>> Ha, ha, ha >>> they said that it was an hour and a half late when it came by, and the conductor had the ears pinned back on it when he did!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She said "we waited there for almost 2 hours to see it because they were supposed to slow down at the crossings to give people time to take a picture, or see it good, BUT hell no >>> that freaking S.O.B. came by doing about 80 MPH!!!!!!!" I laughed right in her face! It was funny, but she was pissed!!! I couldn't believe that it would run that fast, but she said it was just a blur when it went past.
