showing my age
ok maybe not showing my age, but yesterday i picked up a 93 taurus in great condition for 800 bucks.
the good: paint is nearly flawless
the interior is clean-ish
the engine runs great
the trans shifts smoothly
working radio (a must in my book)
now the bad:
rear bumper needs to be replaced
ac compressor is going bad
and the headliner is a bit torn

other than that, this is a great car over all and one hell of a deal. its no stang, but thats ok....when i have a mid life crisis in bout 15 years ill be sure to get a shelby....or maybe just a gt

it is hard to find a driveable car for that price. however my last 3 cars have all been 800. my cougar, mustang and taurus all costed that much. but i got lucky with the taurus, it looks good and drives great. now if only i gould get it to beat a mustang....jk, kinda doubt thats possible.

thanks, but ran into a problem.....went to the bank today when i came out the damn thing wouldnt start. finally got it started, went down the street and got gas. again it wouldnt start, luckily i was near my work so iwent there. after work i went back to my car and tried to get it to start. wouldnt start, after some fiddling under the hood i got it to start. dont know what the problem is

good buy, the only taurus known to beat the stang was the SHO taurus from the early 90's, 225hp with a 5 spd was smoking the stangs of that year. I had one beat me when I had my 91 LX and i was slightly modded and had 2 passengers, he was by himself and got the jump on me, but i couldn't pass him.
