Got accepted again this year for the Car Craft Summer Nationals Real Street Eliminator Competition.

Guess it's a good thing I just got the fuel tank re-installed in the car tonight after replacing all the PPRV delete hoses. If this fails again, gonna drop the bucks on the Fore Hat and GT pumps. Hopefully I can get through Car Craft first though.

Event is July 16th/17th/18th at the Minnesota State Fair grounds.

It is primarily a GM event true Muscle Car event, but there is a fair share of Fords scattered around. Last year was close to 6,000 cars.

Real Street Eliminator is run in 2 classes
1955 - 1981
1982 and newer
ANY type of car, ANY mods (supposedly as long as it remains street legal)

Compete in 3 events:
Dyno
Autocross (small course typically 15 seconds or less)
Launch/Stop Box

Our club (Minnesota Ford Enthusiasts - MNFords.com) will have about 30 cars there, and the other big local Mustang club will have a dozen or so cars as well. I have also heard that the Upper Midwest Shelby club is going to have cars there this year too. Should be an awesome event!

By the way... if you are planning to head out as a spectator or participant...
If you are "noise sensitive" (yes there are some car folks that are...most of us are just going deaf) BRING EAR PROTECTION. This tends to be a VERY loud event.

The "Chevelle" mating call (revved up open headers) can be heard throughout the Fair Grounds all day every day.

The grounds are patrolled all day, so burn-outs and racing around outside the Fair Grounds will likely be met with some EJECTIONS from the show, and possibly some hefty tickets.
