Blanchard Springs Caverns! Lot of pics...

Took the girlfriend to the caverns yesterday and went on a tour through them. I used to live up there and drive past it to go fishing more times than we all have fingers! Then we went swimming in the creek down the road >>> used to be the party hole where all the in-crowd went to party and hang out, BECAUSE the law can't/won't/don't even try to come down there! There were apprx. 8 tents and a dozen trucks camping down on this creek that is really remote.

Enjoy the pictures and scenery.......

This room is very large! The guide said that it was apprx. 4 football fields long, and I believe him. It was massive!

Look at the lower left hand corner and you will see the handrail and the walkways at the bottom of the picture. This will give you some perspective on just how big these formations are.

Thanks everyone. We had a really good time. The girlfriend didn't like the creek as much though, well she liked the creek, just not the road to the creek. It's a very narrow and rough 1 lane for the most part and there is little room for meeting another truck on it.

Plus she was scared that we were going to get stuck in the soft gravel crossing the creek, but I have driven in those clear water creeks for a long time and I know when I am getting in over my head.
