my luck sucks

hows this for luck, a week ago on my way to work i had a tire blow out goin down the highway goin 70+, today a week later i had another flat and goin to have to replace another tire. odd thing, when i parked at work my tire waas fine. when i came out it was flat, with a hole in the side of it. not sure how that hapened, havent pissed anyone off at work

Are they dry rotted. I have had some tires that had plenty of tread left but they were starting to dry rot. They probably had 15k miles or more left on them but you could see they were getting ready to go south. You could see them vibrate slightly when I was following my wife down the highway. I changed them out the next day.

nope they were in good shape still, had them sitting in my shop

What amazed me about the tires on that truck is they never sat anywhere. They came on my wifes brand new Dakota and it never stayed parked for more than a day. I have never known of tires dry rotting when it was used as a daily driver.

that is odd....must of been some crappy tires. the ones i put on my car were goodyears right now im running 215/70/15 front and 225/70/15 rear. the rears are goodyears but the fronts are douglas (never heard of em, but so far they've lasted the longest.

yes indeed tires.... Theres alot of crap on the roads over here and have blow/f-ed up three tires in the last two months on my preludes. Im lucky it wasnt my Mustang. Id have to have the damn big ass tires shipped over here from the states or pay like 300 pounds a piece for them here.

How many preludes do you have? My guess is 11.

Damn, that sucks! When a tire is run low, then driven around it could cause a blowout on the side. If the tire had a hole in it after sitting in the lot, then maybe someone mistook your vehicle for someone else's...?
