Tough job search
Man, i have taken my son to over 12 places to put in a job application over the last 2 weeks and not 1 phone call......can't wait till the government get's their head out of their asses and starts actually helping the economy.

I cant get over it here !! Ohio was RUFF... NOBODY was buying anything, places were empty!!! Moved to FL and its crazy. EVERYWHERE is BUSY as hell. restaurants, grocery stores (NOT just wal-mart) and every store is busy.

I have like 3 jobs and been here less then a month... Too bad I can only take 2 of them lol

yeah jayson it is slow as hell here in ohio and i'm still seeing factorys shutting down. I hope this economy picks up or i might have to move down to florida and take one of your jobs..lol

Strange because now is when all the summer jobs are opening up. Maybe just after tax time it'll open up Doug. Are you not able to get him on over at the plant or is that not an option for you?

Sounds like you're seeing more of him than last I visited. That's a good thing.

I'll keep my eyes open for job availability for him. How old and is there anything negative on his record? I don't know if he has a dishonorable or general under dishonorable mentions discharge or what.

the plant is loosing money right now and they have been cutting back on all spending. I had hoped at one time i could get him on there, but they are saying now that if cap and trade passes, we will be closing our doors within 5 years.

Try the city. They are normally hiring landscapers for the spring, and if he has a buddy already in there, then it might be easier to get in.. At least thats what alot of youngsters do here, then after the summer if you work hard enough don't have to go back to school they will keep you full time doing other things... Driving the Zamboni at the rink Coolest job EVER!! Those guys get all the ladies..LOL
