Maquiars clay bars

WELL I USED THE CLAY BAR THIS MORNING... I HAD MY CAR PAINTED 3 YEARS AGO AND I KEEP IT GARAGED. I DIDNT THINK THE BAR WOULD MAKE IT ANY SLICKER. BOY WAS I WRONG. I USED IT AND THEN WAXED IT. I THINK IT LOOKS BETTER THAN THE DAY IT WAS PAINTED. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. RJ

Re: Maquiars clay bars

I have several friends that have used clay bars on their cars and they were blown away by the results.

Re: Maquiars clay bars

boy was I shocked. I saw the ALL CAPS and thought you were going to rip on the clay bar. Glad to hear that they work that well. Might have to try them myself.

Re: Maquiars clay bars

My son uses Mothers Clay Bar and likes it also. He used this this summer on my Stang that is garaged, but daily driven and it really made it pop. He is also using Turtlewax's Ice wash and that helps. After he washes it with the Ice and clay bars it, he uses Meguairs 3 step paint cleaner, polish and wax for an outstanding clean and shine. The paint is smooth as a baby's bottom when he is done with it.

Re: Maquiars clay bars

I havent ever used any clay bars, but I want to. Would like to have someone here to assist me the first time, as I've heard that if you do it wrong you can really mess things up.. but as picky as I am about my car, I think I can figure it out.

One other thing that makes me hesitate is that I have no outside water hookup here at my apartment. I'd have to be somewhere that has one to use it.

Maybe this summer...

Glad it turned out well for you. Post some pics!

Re: Maquiars clay bars

Tammy,
Once you have washed your car, you use the clay bar with out water. it comes with detailin spray and microfiber cloth. you just spray surface and then start rubbin clay bar. you will feel a little resisitance at first then it will start feelin slick. Then you use cloth to wipe dry. i then waxed my car. also as you go when the clay bar gets dirty use just kneed it together till you see clean surface.
