Re: piston trouble

a hypereutectic piston works fine for plent of power , unless you planning on putting alot of nitrous or tons of boost and then being at the track all the time , we all know people that have stock bottom ends and have superchargers and have lasted forever, i have a stock bottom end and bring my car to the track a few times a year and i launch at 5000 on the slicks and shift upwards of 6400 rpm , no problems yet and the pistons are from 1983 lol , keep it simple , its not a circl track motor it doens need the strongest parts

Re: piston trouble

hypers can hold some power. Kieth Black claims guys run into the 300-500 shot range on them. tune is DEAD NUTTS on tho.

They are strong for sure but the cost of forged over hyper is minimal for the added strength and piece of mind. IF it was a bit easier to swap them out then ya. gives ya more room for error.

besides with the economy the way it is ya might find a cheap nitrous/turbo kit ya cant pass up lol.
