$50 gun tax on each gun for 2009 income taxes

so my ex Marine buddy at work comes in yesterday telling me that there will be a $50 tax on each gun you own this year when we file our income tax..... some bullshit about they "revised" some old bill so they wouldnt have to get a "new" one voted on..

he has allways been dead on with the stuff he tells me but this blew me away!!

anybody herd anything about this?????

According to the NRA, this is an internet rumor, they say they have not even heard of it being proposed for the future...........Hope they are right
