72 Mustang 351C auto

Can anyone tell me what a 72 Mustang with some hail damage and a couple oil leaks should be worth i am lookibng to buy one but want to get a fair price the Automatic transmission has leak and the rear engine seal leaks

What does the body look like? I saw a clown a few years back trying to sell a 72 convert with a 351C that was falling apart (Needed interior, and all floor pans among other things) for I think 3-4K.

If it only has the problems you said I would guess it would be worth between $1,500 and $4,000. One sold on ebay the other day for $4,000 and it looked to be in good shape with no major problems. It is hard to say what it is really worth without seeing pictures at least.

the pics i have seen it definantly needs paint and som dents the interior ifs far from perfect but i looks to be all there still in the car he says the only rust is in the right fender small hole

Is it a hard top or convertible?

i am going to guess no more then 2k if it needs resto. if you are doing tranny seals and a main seal, you may as well tear apart the motor and the tranny and redo all the seals.

I figured on going through them but not just yet I imagine it will take awhile i just want to get the right price and not over pay I offered him @1500 if the car is what he said it is until i get close to it i wont know
