Quick update on the GT

I post about the car a lot, but here are just a few quick shots of current progress. Haven't gotten too far, seeing as how it gets cold as hell and snows every other day lately. Debating about keeping the a/c that's never used.
Teardown shots:

New 306 I'm building:

Lastly the Explorer intake, just decided to go flat black....helps hide a few things to come, besides I'm not the flashy type, lol.

Re: Quick update on the GT

At this altitude should be about 9.0:1ish. I have been tempted so many times to just say screw it and hijack all my parts from the stock engine to get it back up and running. Just know I will hate myself if I throw a stock cam and heads back on, only to drive it a few months. Considering I can wait a little longer for better parts.

Might repaint the intake, went back and forth on a few options. Not quite sure yet.

Cool to see the beast. Check out that Thrifty Nickle every Thursday morning religiously.

I have a bunch of parts... Let me know what you need. If Danny is around (Deuce) or Casper (Our shot in the rear end Sarge) they always have their nose to the grind stone looking for parts.

I know I need a bunch of stuff, only problem is the budget. I haven't seen a thrifty nickel in years, know what places carry them, or are they online now?

Waiting truely is the hardest part. What all do you plan on doing and when do you think you will be done. Also, what kind of numbers are you hoping to make?

Re: Quick update on the GT

Plan now is a trickflow cam or equivalent, gt40p's (non P's seem to be going up in price),gt40 intake, 1.6rr's, 65mm tb, 24# injectors, oh and I have my nitrous kit sitting in the garage

With gears, and dr's I should be able to hit 12's without too much stress.
