are you sure you want to venture out there again? you know what happened the last time we tried that. and we are both faster then that night now too so it will definitly be exciting for sure.

ok, yes you crossed the finish line before me, you did win. but what did it cost you? let me let them in on some things that happened that night. lol

it was a nice night at the drag strip. i had brought my red hatch up there on street tires and my partner in crime was there in his lightning doing some SCT tuning with spray on slicks. oh and a crapload of "bolt-ons". which i have to admit run really good lol. mine was a carb'd 306 with vic jr heads and a few other "Bolt-Ons" and well yeah it could run.

back to the story

he asked me if i wanted to run him just for fun so i said ok. we lined them up and on green he launched like a sum-of-a-bitch on those slicks and well me on street tires did alot of spinning in 1st through 3rd and he took me by about a truck. next round he wanted to go again and i said ok, except this time he was going to use the bottle. i mean come on, he beat me the first time and now he's going to spray on me. of course he's going to win. but i figured hell, i'll give her hell and lets see what happens. again he launch's hard and me left on street tires yeah yeah. well i was really pulling hard this time and gaining ground. then all of a sudden, !BANG! i was like WTF and got out of it just before going through the traps. i knew i had broke something. i mean it was loud and BAD. well i pull up in the pits next to him and got out and said, "DUDE, I think somehting happened!" he said "yeah listen" then he started his truck and well, yeah, after we got it apart it was a broke rod, piston, and a few other things rattling around in there......

and this was also 1/8th mile guys, 1/4 mile i'd had him. he had me by a truck and maybe another 1/4 at the traps with me pulling on him.

so i say again.

are you sure you want to do this again? hate to see you break again trying to get away from me as i chase you down. oh and this time i'll be on slicks buddy.

yeah lol. its all fun and hopefully i'm going to have enough. i know what he's got cause i've helped him install most of it. and i was there when he dynoed so.

Yes it is true that the stock motor in the Lightning didn't like the 50 dry shot so several $$$$.$$ later I got the new motor. My truck weights almost 5000lbs, probably over half what your car weights. I needed all the help I could get by running the slicks to get that brick moving.

It will be a good run though even with if you have slicks...all I am going to do is bump the boost up to around 20 and go up to a 100 shot and will hopefullyl lift the tires off the ground and move a little better.

All I know is that someone better have a video camera ready just in case mine decides to blow up again. HAHA

oh and I beat you by more than a car...just thought everyone here should know that too. LOL

thats right, the second run when you broke was a car and a half. didn't think that was relavent seeing how you broke and i let out of it before the end. that first race i had you by about a TRUCK though......

no biggie, yeah someone had better have a vid camera this time.
