Re: msd coils

I have been looking at the MSD's for along time and will be extremy interested in info also. Their cost is very high in comparison to Accel, not to much difference with Granatelli. This is alot of $$$ to consider, especially on my low retiree budget!

Re: msd coils

The MSD's are good.

Are they "NEEDED" ? Not really. Especially if higher then 600-700 HP is not going to be in your near future.

The stock COPS work well. I dunno about 800RWHP through a C6 good, but they work well.

Usually above the 600RWHP mark it is a good idea to swap em over....and I recommend the Weapon X COPS (which I also sell)

The stockers can handle 600+ HP....but not very efficiently. And that is a fact. In fact, most of the time 50+RWHP can be obtained just from swapping to a stronger COP on a 600+HP set-up.

I would put my money towards something else in a mild set-up car..... I have personally seen the Weapon X's pickup several RWHP and RWTQ on a mild bolt-on or cammed type application.....but not enough HP for the $$$$ that is spent.

Re: msd coils

That is very impressive.

In all my years of mod motor work, I cannot say I have ever witnessed 900+RWHP on a mod motor with stock COPS. (your 800rwhp would be 900+ through a stick, easily)

Whats your trick? Do you have a BAS? And may I ask what your engine combination is?
