The differences between the 2 will be 1) based in the deck heights -cleveland being 9.213 and Windsor being 8.206, and 2) also the heads shape being of different angles to each other. The cleveland heads are shaped in a way that makes the exhaust port face fit flush in line with the block, therefore giving the "appearance" that the engine is larger when in fact the engine only "looks" wider than it actually is. On the other hand, the windsor heads have a different exhaust port face angle which is more upright in angle than the clevo. These heads aswell as the deck height play an advantage in so far as engine "appearance" and fitting is concerned. Clevo intake manifolds are wider than windsors for the reason being the intake port faces are at once again, a different angle.

These differences will play a major part in the physical size, look and shape of the motor in an engine bay, and even though they look worlds apart, the block angle only is the same and not the overall appearance!

In my opinion i would go with the windsor block, it has alot of aftermarket parts, that are really affordable.
