Mine has a vibration to it too! But it only starts at about 85 MPH and stays steady from there on up. It doesn't matter what gear it's in, BUT it will do it more when I drop to 4th and stand on it!

I am going to get one of those Ford Racing Aluminum Driveshafts for mine.
I think that they are only like $250 for a complete shaft with joints.

I agree with both suggestions above. Check your driveshaft and your trans mount. If you can shake the DS and feel it wiggle, one of the U-joints is out. Make sure it's the u-joint and not a bad pinion bearing in the rear axle housing. $20 for a new U-joint and you're in there. I'd say rear joint since you had to work with the front to get the new yoke on. If that's fine, your tranny mount may be sloppy and allow the tranny to move too much. $45 later and you have a new poly one. If both of those are fine, I'd head to the harmonic dampner and then to the wheel balancing.

Good luck
Dave

yeah i've also heard that theres a rubber seal type thing in the harmonic balancer that will wear out and cause it to vibrate like hell. i agree with dave tho, check the u-joints and trans mount first, they would be a lot easier to fix.

sound like a u-joint. they get tight when the get old a lose their lubrication which causes the vibration especially on acceleration. do u notice the same vibration when accelerating hard from a stop?
