87 gt carb conversion

I have an 87 gt, which means its a speed density motor. I 've been told that these motors will not tolorate changes and modifications. It has been suggested that I convert the car to a mass air motor. Do to my budget or lack thereof I was wondering what I would need to do to change over to a carb. Then I could pretty much put any combination of cam and heads that I wanted to.

Thats all stock stuff, but it would get you started with mass air anyway. If you actually do want a carb. I think a carb, intake, throttle cable, and gaskets is about all ya need.Keep your 02 sensors there to plug the holes in the exhaust obviously. Remove the injector harness.

A mass air conversion wouldn't be any more expensive than a Carb conversion. Look around e-bay or find a junk yard. Or just stay patient around here and someone will come up with something.
