LMAO...

A girl my wife worked with had it sitting in her yard up the road from us. It was sitting there for a long time. They had left the property and pretty much abandoned the Notch. My wife asked if they wanted to sell it. Her husband called me and told me it had a rod knock and did not run well at all. I really did not care as I was wanting a car to transplant a windsor into. So the asking price was $200. I had looked at the car way befiore I even knew I was gonna buy it. I knew the potential was there was the body was rust free and just filthy. The car already had those wheels on it and fairly new Cooper Cobra 225-50-15 tires on it. So I paid the man and took it home (tow strap) LOL.

Once home I put fresh gas in it and swapped a battery from another vehicle and she fired right up.

The "rod knock" was the innerds of the front cat falling apart. I had it cut off and guess what.. No more "knock" LMAO..

So a little detailing, tune up, oil change, and clear headlights... and what you see is what you get.

well you officially suck, lol i wish deals like that fell into my lap, at least on mustangs. (wait they do) paid 1400 for my 89 gt 5spd with a built 306 and straight body. 500 for my wifes 94 tbird with the coldest a/c i've ever felt. so i guess it's jsut about time for me to have another great deal fall into my lap, i'm gonna start looking . nice car man, great detail work. you polished a turd into a gem.

Thanks everybody..

When my 92's oil pump killed the 5.0 in it, (early death at 81k) I parked the car for 3 years.Then when I moved to NC I let it sit back in MI for a year before selling it to my best friend. This notch I have now is my ticket back into the Mustang Hobby. Had I not found this car, I might not have ever bought another Mustang. Least for a long while. I am VERY gratefull for this deal that I came across. Even if it is a 4 pot, It's a start.

I am one of those weirdos that forms a bond with his car. This notch is no exception. I like to think I saved it from a demise of sitting in that yard and rotting away.

Thanks again for the comments, it makes it all worth while plus some!!
