'91 LX Oil pressure issue

Lost oil pressure on my 2.3. Believe it's the gear on the distributor shaft. Problem is the part is no longer available from Ford. Anyone know where I can find one? Or have any other input on what the problem can be? I've already ruled out the timing belt. Don't think it's the auxiliary shaft, and hoping it's not the oil pump.

Rule out the gauge first, before you go tearing the motor apart.

Is there oil IN the engine? I had that problem once. I was checking it too
soon after it had ran and I guess the oil was dripping onto the stick or stuck inside the dipstick tube, giving me a false reading.
