Trans Mounts?

In my 91 4cyl auto, lately when I am driving if I hit a bump or dip and then punch it, the gear selector will move slightly back and the transmission goes into 2nd. It is still in line with the D but the car is deffinitely in 2nd. Sometimes I am resting my hand on the shifter because I am used to stick, and the pressure from my hand puts in down into 2nd. I haven't got under and looked at it but I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. Does it sound like a mount problem or is it a gear selector plate or something like that, that might be getting worn.

Maybe a linkage issue..
