4 banger belt routing

Does anyone have a diagram of the stock belt routing on an 84 with ac, ps and air pump? The ac is low and the air pump is high. Both are mounted on the same side. Previous owner didn't put the belt back on the air pump after the ac compressor was replaced.

Re: 4 banger belt routing

Thanks, but I think that is for an SVO motor. This one has several belts running different locations. Also the ac and air pump are on the passenger side of the motor with the air pump on top. No seperntine belt or idler pulley (that I have yet to find).

Can't right now. Kid broke the damn camera. He's been damned expensive this last week. As soon as I get a new one, I will post many pics of it.

Re: 4 banger belt routing

I just love Chilton Manuals. They show everything you need to know. I don't know why the Haynes Manual didn't have a good pic. Haynes publishes both manuals. Anyway, there are like 4 belts on it. Two belts drive the alt and ps using the same two belts. One drives the ac and waterpump. The air pump is driven by one belt off of the ac. Here's a scan from the manual.

No biggie. I always end up buying a Chilton for any vehicle I own and want to do some work on. They are better than a Haynes in my opinion.

Glad that you got it worked out man!

I know that is crazy about both manuals being made by the same company, and sharing a lot of the same pics, but they are always different in many ways. One or the other will show more detailed stuff about a certain subject, and then the other will go into more detail about a different subject. IT'S CRAZY!!!
