Guages 2005 GT

Has anyone been having any problems??? My speedo broke a while back and I was told it was a gear on the needle itself so no biggie I have been using my GPS to know how fast I was going. Well this week my oil pressure guage was maxed out when I got in her....checked the oil, everythings cool. Hubby sez sending unit or something simple...ok. I started her a few days ago and the tach is (at idle) pointing straight down and when I rev her it rolls backwards into the 8k area. I won't even drive her right now, can't even trust the damn gas gauge. I know there is a TSB but I can't get the technical info. I called the service dept at my dealer and was told they would scan it and depending on the problem Ford may make the repair but they also sed it was possible that they would have to brand my car due to mileage but that part is still working....so what do you guys know??? Thanks

Doug usually has all the TSB info from Ford. He can probably give you some info when he gets on. I have never heard of this problem but I don't own a newer Stang.

Re: Guages 2005 GT

There isn't a tsb for the issue you described, but there have been allot of complaints. From my understanding, ford is replacing insturment panels at the tune of 600 bucks plus the core.

I think i would check ebay or other part suppliers and find one myself and replace it.

Re: Guages 2005 GT

Thanks for the info....My dealer wants 900.00 to replace. Not happening. I can get the part for 500.00 but my concerns are that I have the my color dash and want to make sure I get the right part also I belive changing the pod is going to throw her into theft mode and the dealer will have to brand her because of the mileage....does it have to go to the dealer if it goes into theft mode???
