Re: My 09 GT

Finally getting around posting pics for everyone. The eibach kit is on. I just cleaned her top to bottom. Enjoy. Oh and don't buy AJE Racing K member. I bought it and control arms for this car. They must not use a jig to build these. The attachment point for the motor was off a good half inch or so. And the control arm didn't fit as well. I can get pics of that later.

Re: My 09 GT

So I finally shoehorned the AJE k-member in the car. I think my biggest problem was how I was putting it in, but I could still see that the driver side didn't fit like it should. The way I was putting it in was a failure of the wrong tools. I got a better jack that lifts the car up 20inchs, and tried using an engine support bar. The later didn't work to well, but I got the job done. If anyone's thinking of this swap, I would say at your own risk. It transfers a lot of drivetrain vibrational energy into the seats, but I expected this since it's not as isolated as stock. I'll try to get pics later today.

Glad you got it in. I went with a BMR tubular K-Member A-Arms, A-Arm Support Brace, Radiator Support and Radiator Support Brace (2011+) specs. I could not be happier with the pieces from BMR. The K-Member, A-Arms and A-Arms Support brace have been in for a couple of years but I just added the other pieces last Winter. While clearly not the recommended approach I used a thick phone book under the oil pan and a floor jack when the OEM K-Member was removed and the BMR installed. It worked very well for me.

So that's your car I was looking at this morning on American Muscle? I thought about BMR as well. Reason I went with AJE was the ability to swap any engine in, and just swap motor mounts. I keep thinking of a BBF swap in a few years.

So how do you like BMR? Do you have any of the vibration issues I mentioned? Is the increased stiffness noticeable?

Congrats on getting the k-member in. That BMR kit looks nice.
