GTech/Dyno comparison

Has anyone here been able to compare chassis dyno figures for horsepower and torque in comparison to those from a GTech pro accelerometer? I know that the GTech gives lower figures due to wind etc. but my question is, how much lower are they. 10%, 20%? if anyone knows, let me know.

it IS within 1% !! I have one and the book it came with says its upto 1%. I have tested it vs the dyno. it was within 1% everytime. I also tested it SEVERAL times at a Norwalk Track rental. It was within .001 of Norwalks timeing system EVERYTIME!! I also tested it aginst another tracks timing system and it was allways within the limits the "handbook" that came with the GTech said it would be.

Ive made prolly close to 50 passes at the tracks with it and its allways "ON" but every once in a while it throws out a number you KNOW is wrong.. Ive went 9.30s once lol but its NEVER done it twice in a row.

I picked mine up off ebay for like $50. it is the older version and not the newer PRO model

Thanks for the info. I got mine as a present from my wife. It's the GTech pro SS. I have been using it to judge the effectiveness of Mods and wanted to know what to expect once I got to the track. I guess I should have read the whole instruction booklet. It's good to know that is accurate against a real dyno, and even better to know that it's accurate for the track!

I like the Pro it lets me evaluate where I am in my tinkering. It does give 60 foot times but it's really hard to get a decent launch on the street. At least that's my excuse for now. Thanks again.

lol, yeah the street isnt the best for traction!!!! I would like to have a "real" time on the street vs what it pulls at the track.. just kinda for refrence I guess. plus even if it dont hook like the track maybe you could atleast be able to tell IF something helped or hurt..
