custom gauges

has anyone installed custom gauges, like from autometer or something in there cars? i just got done installing another gauge cluster in my cougar thinking that would fix my odometer problem, boy was i wrong. so im thinking that goin the custom gauge route would be ok.

I have a set of custom gauges in my Fox. I got the from Florida 5.0 (Florida 5.0) and they were a breeze to install. Here's a couple of pics of them installed.

nothings wrong with the gauges, just that my odometer and trip odometer dont work, even after swaping gauges. im taking the orginal speedomter to ford tomorrow to see if they can offer me some insite, but really i think im screwed in that department

would be nice to say how many miles are on the engine, the trans will be getting replaced in a month or so.

I wouldn't think it is a fuse issue if the odometer and trip odometer are not working. I believe those are direct drive off the tranny. Sounds like you might have a stripped out gear somewhere. Either where it connects to the back of the instrument cluster/speedo or at the tranny.
