| Re: 4.6l problem The only Modulars that I know of that are know to develop oil burning issues as a common problem are the early 2v's that came in 91-97 Lincoln Town Cars and Ford Crown Vics I believe. I'm no expert though, and thats just what I've heard. I've owned a couple of Modular Mustangs,(both 2v and 4v) and neither ever seemed to burn any noticable oil, and my parents own a couple of 2v Modular vehicles with high mileage and they don't burn oil either.
Hopefully it is a problem with your valve seals, and not with your piston rings.
I use to own a 95 Integra GSR that burnt oil like crazy, and it had busted piston rings in atleast one cylinder. That motor had a cylinder go out at 124,000. Ofcourse that car has the popular B18C1 Honda motor.
